- THE SHORT DOCUMENTATION - THE ONLY DOCUMENTATION
-
- This is release 5.0 of The Wall, a message-type bulletin board door for
- Red Ryder Host, WWIV, and Mansion bulletin board systems. In this release, I
- have rewritten roughly 50% of the code, changed the format somewhat, and have
- removed the offensive "UNREGISTERED" messages altogether.
-
- The Wall is now a non-linear one-line message door. You can input
- messages, read forward or backwards, and read new messages (yes, it works!).
-
- For the sysop, hit "S" within the program to edit messages and users.
- You have the choice of non-authorizing a user so they cannot post messages,
- and you can ban users who post offensive or vulgar messages.
-
- To set up the Wall, follow these steps:
-
- 1. Create a folder for the Wall data.
- 2. Place the Wall application in the same path as your bbs.
- 3. Copy the Wall support files to the data folder.
- 4. Add the Wall as a door choice within the door.
- 5. Launch the Wall from WITHIN YOUR BBS.
- 6. Set the host bbs path, the data folder, and what application
- you wish to quit to after running the Wall.
